The industry terms gunite and shotcrete are used to refer to the process of pneumatically placed concrete material. Gunite Supply also manufactures gunite batch plants that allow contractors to eliminate the need for ready-mix truck deliveries. The batch plant is used to mix sand (aggregate) and cement on the jobsite and deliver to a mounted gunite machine. The Cyclone gunite machine conveys the dry material through gunite hose (up to 1000 ft) to the nozzle where water is added. The nozzleman controls the water content as he places the gunite material on the surface. The water content affects the slump (or fluidity) of the material.
